I found her easy but the act 3 final boss (really most of the act 3 main bosses) extremely difficult

 

Yeah I just got to act 3 this weekend and it’s been brutal lol

I decided to play this (never played Hollow Knight) and was loving my time exploring BUT I’m at Greymoore and absolutely HAAAAAATE the jumping on the balls. So annoying.

Also don’t know how to get the map because I didn’t have enough rosaries when I ran into her, and now I do and she’s gone lol

 

did you change your crest yet?

also shakra appears in different places. you should run into her again and she'll still have all the stuff you didn't buy

 

I don’t even know what changing my crest means lol

But good to know! I went left and realized this is the next way to go lol

 

you can change the way you interact with the balls. essentially, you can get a new moveset that makes it easier to jump on them. one way to do that is even in Greymoor somewhere!

I had a feeling the furthest I previously got was one jump away from the end. I was right.

 

changing crest changes moveset (attack distance, bind behavior, charge attack, pogo [jump+down attack]). iirc any time you get a new crest you switch to it automatically (so if you'd gotten a new crest it would've switched out from the default diagonal pogo). you can change your crest again (and any tools equipped to it) at any bench

you start with hunter, then there's wanderer, reaper, beast, witch, shaman, architect

as for shakra i think you can summon her in bone bottom early on

 

Ohhhhhhhhhhh okay! I haven’t even dove into any of that yet lol thanks for the info. I have been sorta rolling through lol - this is helpful thank you!

 

The reaper crest is, imo, the easiest one to play with as it has slower, wider attacks that aren't at an angle, so it makes platforming on things like those balls incredibly easy. And you can find it in Greymoor (though not the area with all the bird enemies, which sounds like where you're at). So I'd really recommending exploring for that until you find it.

 

clearing out the High Halls! after a lil trouble i'm making progress- got the map, found the cogfly, now i'm at the "boss" (i THINK)

i am totally open to spoilers on this;
can someone tell me where i can find the switch to turn off those fucking puppets that steal silk? they are SO annoying and pop up in the most inconvenient times/places

 

Yep so I definitely went right and cleared all that out which I guess if I went left it would have led me to the reaper crest and life way easier lol. I just got it! Gonna enjoy using this now and do more exploring.

Game has me hooked

 

So far act 3 has been kind of meh for me.

 

Unlocked Pure Vessel last night in HK. He’s absolutely wiping the floor with me. P4 is the last thing I need for 112%, so now I guess time to spend days mastering this fight

Finished 112%. Most excited I’ve ever been about a gaming achievement, despite finding several Silksong bosses way harder.

Honestly considering trying Pantheon 5 now which I never thought I’d say

 

Still moving at a glacial pace and now I have GoY I’m playing as well, BUT I took out Sister Splinter last night. Making my way back to Bellhart now with the wall cling.

 

I think the Wanderer's Crest is so OP. It's trivializing all of the Act 3 bosses.

 

The greatest defense is a good offense. Land more hits more quickly to heal more often. Paired with Multibinder, Injector, and upgraded Druid Eyes, you're basically unstoppable as long as you're cautious enough. But I suck so I keep dying anyway.

I use the extra mask, the long nail, and the fast heal

I do feel like I've missed out on some of the game by basically using the exact same loadout for the whole thing with a few situational exceptions.

I've also hardly used tools at all. Feels like cheating.

 

High Halls. From the ventrica go left, up, and left again

edit: to clarify it’s in the very bottom of the right “tower” within high halls

 

after going up is it the first left? i don't think i'm finding it
