pogoing him when he's near the wall and getting 3 hits in at a time is how I finally beat him. but I did it way too early, definitely wasted too much time out of stubbornness
with wanderer i took the damage and just wailed on him in the corner to build up silk. this is my strategy with most bosses actually, if they stand still long enough. that doesn't work in a later fight when the ground disappears... definitely gonna do this then bc i hate this fight. and i feel fomo for shakra not helping me with the hunters march gauntlet i think that's the only fight i can do right now that isn't optional at this point
the ending to the shakra quest is so sad! i was going in expecting a big fight, not big feels!!! anyway, yeah, i was able to beat that high halls gauntlet finally. now i'm trying to decide if i wanna start act three or finish up some more optional stuff
I think the only Act 2 missable I didn’t complete was the Shakra friendly duel because she was wiping the floor with me
beat first sinner, broodmother, and second sentinel back to back to back. first sinner and second sentinel were awesome fights, although the latter didn't take very many tries. those two, phantom, and of course cogwork dancers are my favorite bosses so far. i don't have a favorite gauntlet... i saw that that was a thing. it's not available to me yet possibly bc i haven't defeated groal--i havent even tried, and from the way ppl in here are talking about it idk if i want to haha edit: lace round 2 was also a cool fight and also didn't take very many tries one more boss to go before act three i guess? i am a bit tired tho--not of that boss, just in general.
Broodmother took me too long. I’m in Act 3 and have defeated a handful of optional bosses so far. It’s probably time to seek out the mandatory ones. The Abyss climb wasn’t quite as bad as I was expecting but the lack of heal windows definitely made it more frustrating.
I think I have now beaten every boss outside of the final boss and a few that I missed. Some really cool, well hidden fights in this game.
i'm liking the grand mother silk fight so far but i'm reading that i need to beat groal to even get to act three? i've only seen the first wave so far and i already hate it, not to mention the runback alone suuuucks. don't get me wrong, i fucking love this game so far, but maybe after i beat the "final" boss and roll credits imma put this down for a bit and save the post-game stuff for later while i focus on hades 2. maybe i'll juggle both games, but tbh i'm pretty satisfied with my almost 80 hours getting this far
Also got the hidden mask shard in Far Fields . Now back in Greymoor gonna hunt down Moorwing. Not really a fan of the beast crest. The pogo is very unpredictable and I can’t put any of my gems on hardly? No compass!? Cmon
i've seen someone tank bosses with it anyway, i noticed i can already get started on the quest to get to act three. but it sounds like i definitely need to beat a boss i've been avoiding.
For the two locked doors that can be opened with a key. Should I open the one near the beginning to the top left of the map or the one under Forge Daughter first?
Stuck on the boss in Lost Verdania but it's so good that I refuse to give up even though it's optional.
Finally beat Groal! I don’t use tools that much during boss fights, but shoutouts poison knives and cogflies for carrying me
yeah omg i just cheesed groal so hard lmao i didn't think poison cogflies would actually work on a boss, it's never worked before. i usually only use needle as well, i think i maxed out tool damage without noticing or something haha
done with Act 2. I think I'll wait for a long long time until I attempt Act 3. Just not feeling the busy work rn.
i just got to act three as well, and i also think i'll be taking a break as well. hades 2 tomorrow and whatnot.
stuck at the ascent out of the abyss i missed what looked like the final jump when i was on my final mask hahaha fuck this shit I need a break Future me is gonna hate when I pick this back up and this is where I'm at
My expectations for this were sky high and it has far exceeded them and I’m sad that I’m nearing its completion. Going to spend some time going through each area again and then take on the endgame this weekend.
Just beat the final boss with 100% completion and every achievement you can get in first playthrough. Nearly 57 hours, Loved it all the way through. Might just roll into a speedrun attempt. Final boss is one of the funnest bosses Ive ever played.
i couldn't leave the save file like that. so yeah, that was the last jump, and if i'd only gotten it the first time i would've saved myself from another half hour of agony.
