I feel like I missed all the tools people like. I don’t have tacks or boomerang

 

tacks and cog flies are the only reason i haven't quit playing

I refuse to use tools I rawdog every boss. having to use currency to replenish is stressing me the fuck out.

 

I mostly use tools for gauntlets. Prime example is High Halls. I’m doing real bosses the old fashioned way

 

I feel like it also throws off my rhythm if I start chucking tools around. I like flea brew though for boss fights to get a few more hits in though.

I'm in the same boat. It’s the way I was able to beat a lot of the gauntlets and final phase of bosses.

 

found all the fleassss. 90% of the time if i need to look at a guide for one it's bc i suck at finding breakable walls and secret passages

i only use the three pins and only on flying enemies

i've tried the other crests i've gotten but keep coming back to wanderer for bosses and gauntlets. quicker hits = more heals.

 

Ok this gauntlet in High Halls is the first time I’ve been genuinely frustrated in this game why is it SO LONG

 

Yeah that's the one I'm stuck on, had to leave and do other stuff bc I felt like I was losing my mind. Hopefully easier now that I have more tool and needle upgrades

 

Still chugging along through Act 2 and I absolutely love Trabbio's whole theme. He's a very fun concept

 

I did tools until they either worked or I ran out. at which point I just ground it out with the needle and silk skills. I never really farmed for shells

 

Finally beat the big guy

And then it's still not fucking over? Kinda zapped some of my interest in the game right there

Like why make it so hard to the point of being unfun. Feels like they are catering to the hard core fans at the expense of everyone else instead of just putting a difficulty option in like a normal developer

 

when the last phase was TWO big guys I was like ok lol fuck you I'll come back

 

Gross yeah I'm gonna go try and do other stuff

 

Finally got through the High Halls gauntlet. Tacks were a lifesaver for the big guys

 

first sinner is also an incredible boss fight. still havent beat it but i'm not even annoyed. i might need to come back later tho bc i'm running out of shards

 

There’s a secret that can make the whole gauntlet much easier

Get a map from Shakra in every spot that she has a map (which I believe is basically every spot outside the Citadel) and complete the big mission with her, and then she will show up during the gauntlet and aid you in battle

 

Groal the Great gauntlet and boss fight are terrorizing me

 

this one got to me. nothing else in this game felt unfair but this.....

 

If you want a spoiler on how to cheese Groal:
sit in the maggot water in the very bottom corners. His only attack that can hit you there is the “dive and resurface” one. So if he dives, run to the opposite corner, and for the rest of the fight just poke/throw tools.

 

That’s what I ended up doing because fuck that

 

Just getting my ass beat by Savage Beastfly. I think the main strategy I saw where I let him take out the ads himself is good but it’s too hard to time luring them to me when he ground charges. So maybe I’ll try just taking them out myself
