The Second Savage Beastfly fight was a lot of fun. Goes to show how important arena design is for a good boss fight.

What didn't you like about it?

Pogoing off him was a lot of fun, using the lessons of sister splinter and using your spells to take out the goons was also really satisfying, and the platforming around the lava dive bombs was cool.

There were a few frustrating points like when he'd do a medium height run that was just low enough to still bonk you if you don't jump but also high enough that jumping over it didn't always work. But overall I thought it was still like an 8/10 boss fight where was the first one was probably only 4 or 5 out of ten.

 

he got stuck in the lava at least 3 times for me when I was fighting him, basically causing a restart each time. I think they patched it

 

Do tell? The only boss I’ve cheesed was Groal because redoing that fight was super annoying. Worked like a dream.

Should I be fighting Savage Beast Fly or Moorwing first?

First one can be accessed a lot earlier but is not required at all. I missed it and came across it later. Sounds like a ton of people had particular trouble with it so I’d recommend skipping it if you’re still pretty early in the game

Just started Act 3 and it’s already a real step up difficulty. The last pale oil quest was a nice diversion from the chaos but it took me way too long to beat the Flea Dodge high score lol.

The reward for beating Belleater is such a nice QOL feature and one I’m sure I’ll be using a lot.

 

Also, there’s a big upgrade that a few guides state isn’t available until Act 3 but that’s not the case since I got it on Act 2. Eva will give you Sylphsong if you have all lockets and crests available in the first two acts

Silksong has the most insane secret bragging rights reward I've ever seen: A special red or purple inventory icon for beating at least half of the game without a map

Gettin my ass beat by (late game boss) Karmelita. Might need to take some time to get my nail upgraded fully before going after her again.

 

Just discovering Bilewater, this place is hell

 

Got her. Whole time I was fighting her, it felt like a boss that was meant to hard counter how I typically play this game. Finally figured out the way you are supposed to deal with her and got her immediately.

 

Had the exact same experience with her. A little like Grimm in the sense that you have to learn the “dance” and then once that clicks it goes from not making it past phase 1 to rarely needing heals

 

i'm lowkey stuck at phantom (as in not that many tries yet) and i don't wanna leave because getting here was such a pain in the ass

 

that happened to me. and I ran out of shards, so I had to spend like an hour farming the only two bats in the whole level that give you maybe 3 shards each. Wanted to kill myself. But he's doable
