i wish the last judgewasn't this difficult, moreso out of boredom than frustration. i spent all day on this (granted, fifteen minutes at a time so i don't get too frustrated) and i just want to explorrrrre. there's so many other areas to get to, so much art and music to appreciate, but then there's this fucker in the way ughhh
this fight was so frustrating for me because i could see that i was extremely capable of doing it and kept coming insanely close but if you make a tiny mistake its a verrrrrrry punishing fight so id always get hit by some bullshit in phase 2 or 3 and quickly spiral because i was scrambling
Just got to the much talked about Hypogean Gaol part. Reminds me more of Metroid Zero Mission. Zero Suit Hornet.
finally beat the last judge and just made it to grand bellway the music in choral chambers is so nice
escaped the abyss. did all the flea games and upgraded my needle all the way. doing all the sidequests. just fought the pinstress and raced the fast bug in far fields just don't tell me there's an act 4. this is really a 100+ hour game for people doing everything huh i mean i did spend like 5 hours on the first beastfly fight. i should've just waited until i was overpowered lol but I'm not looking up anything so to find new areas i have to poke around everywhere. that takes time too btw OP combo fully upgraded poison tacks or conchcutter. goodnight enemies
Honestly sinners road hasn't been that bad maybe it's because I'm doing it to procrastinate on beating the final judge. I like that fight itself but the run up is just so... bad. I had to take a break. Cleared all of sinners road at least according to the map expect the one area it looks like I need some kinda double jump for. The maggots aren't bad they are basically just like... less punishing spikes. And it's fun trying to fill your silk meter so you can get rid of them The platforming challenge to fix the bench was a fun change of pace One other thing, maybe a reflection of how bad I am: rosaries feel like almost a non issue. I have like ~800 banked up in strings and other such things. Intentionally went down to zero before going into sinners road but then I still built that back up to like 300 before I lost then but I'm like not even concerned. Guess the people complaining about stuff costing too much are too good so aren't getting geo from the same couple of enemies 20+ times and so aren't building a big stack?
I don't think I'd mind the fight nearly as much if there was a bench right before it The atmosphere of the run up is really great the first time at building up this sense of desolation But the 30th time you have to go through it? The sound, visuals, everything about the run-up feels intentionally non enjoyable which works great at first but it's terrible to have to keep doing it again and again and again
Yeah the first run through the abyss is so cool, particularly the climb back up. How many times did you race the fast bug? He has multiple tracks There’s still a good number of bonus non-required boss fights you can get now. I think most are through quests, but I think there are some I wouldn’t have found if I didn’t look it up before the final fight
