Making every enemy a flying enemy that specifically hangs out diagonally above you in a game where you can't attack diagonally is such horse shit. Team Cherry are fucking lucky there is an ocean between us
Made it to Act 2. I'm really enjoying the little story bits I've gotten so far and I'm very curious to see where everything lands
When I got the double jump ability I’ve been continuously annoyed because there didn’t seem to be a way to glide without having to double jump first, but there actually is: when you jump, if you press the down + the jump button at the same time, it will go straight to gliding instead of doing the double jump
Did you already have everything done for Act 3? If not then you have to beat the Act 2 final boss all over again with the necessary requirements
Thank you so much for this. I lowkey think this game might have been better without the double jump. It loses so much precision now.
Savage Beastfly down Feel similar to this one as I do skull tyrant. Just kinda forgettable. Nothing really unique or fun about the fight but with the added bullshit of it when does a middle run it feels really hard to dodge because you can't easily jump over it or stay under it. So difficulty of the fight largly comes down to what moveset it uses. The down strike pattern is really easy to avoid and get hits on so as long as it keeps doing that and then spawns easier mobs its not too bad but if you get bad cycles its annoying as fuck. Overall rank of bosses beat so far: 1) Fourth Chorus 2) Sister Splinter 3) Widow 4) Moorwing 5) Bell Beast 6) Moss Mother 7) Skull Tyrant 8) Savage Beastfly
Yes, but it was intentional because I also wanted to get this one and the twisted bud ending for the achievements
They removed this in the newest patch unfortunately because I guess people were finding it frustrating when pogoing (I’m having the exact opposite experience like you)
Loving this even more now that I finally have double jump and the grapple. The movement just feels so good. I managed to knock out the quest to unlock more pale oil and it didn’t take me nearly as long as I expected. I had to look up one of the items since it was really squirreled away.
Started this game a few days later than everyone else so I havent wanted to come in here and get spoiled but now that I am on the second Lace fight I figured I was far enough in. This game is really fucking good. Every moment is a treat. The level design, the art, the music, the animation, the combat, the exploration, its all so good. I liked Hollow Knight too (though not as much as some) but this is next level. So far, I haven't had any real frustrations but Im looking forward to seeing the Lost Kin/ Nightmare Grimm level bosses.
this guide i'm referencing says blasted steps is the end of act one and sinner's road is the alternate, more difficult route that also takes you through the mist and exhausted organ. well i felt like exploring so i had a brief look through sinner's road and yeah, @I Am Mick is right, this area fucking sucks. but what i'm confused by is, i found myself in bilewater? that wasn't mentioned in the guide at all. so i looked it up and apparently it's entirely optional haha. but where the heck are the areas i was supposed to go? is it after that gauntlet that's stupid hard to get to? i wasn't really looking for a fight to begin with so i didn't bother finding out what freakish hell that is. i think i'm close to learning the moveset for the last judgeso i'm pretty certain that'll be my way forward into act two. this post is full of frustration but i want to reiterate that i'm loving this game so far.
Are you saying you just couldn’t find the mist/exhausted organ in the first place? Because I believe you do need to go through Bilewater to get there; the exhausted organ area does connect to Sinner’s Road but I thought you need to get through it first before that avenue becomes available. And the mist is directly to the left of the bell beast location in Bilewater. but honestly I’d recommend people go through the Last Judge route anyway. It definitely feels like the “intended” route imo
okay I just got the snared silk ending. seems pretty final. is there another one? 81 hours lol. I think I found every area. the last one was the exhaust organ
