don't forget where your first try winds up being your best run for the longest period of time, lulling you into a false sense of how easy the boss will be
No, that's the one in Hunter's March. You can disable that trap by triggering a lever to the left of it in case you weren't aware. Sinner's Road is an area above Greymoor, and when you pay to unlock the bench, it gets stuck and you have to go through a platforming gauntlet to get it unstuck.
So far I’m still having the most fun with the starting crest, the wanderer crest is pretty good too and a lot closer to HK, but I’ve gotten used to the longer range
For a short while after you bind, any time you strike an enemy an extra thread orb will be produced and you can grab it
I haven’t switched from Reaper since I got it. I really hope there’s an upgrade for it. I just got my second spool upgrade after exploring Greymoor some more. I have yet to even find a 6th mask shard but going to look around some more before wrapping up Act 1.
I have something like 6 areas unlocked and I have no idea where I'm supposed to go next. Feels like I'm playing SotN
Also am I supposed to understand what spools do? I assumed they’d act like Soul Vessels from the first game, or maybe a buff to Binding, but they don’t seem to affect literally anything?
Made it to Greymoor. The additional movement abilities are making exploration much less daunting. All the NPCs are so damn charming.
They’re similar to the vessels. Each spool adds a “notch” beyond the main spool so when you heal, you still have some left over.
Wait, then what do Silk Hearts do? Because I thought those were the reason I had an extra row of thread after healing
Silk Hearts will automatically refill your silk meter by a notch each when you’re out of silk. Silk Spools extend your silk meter so you can stockpile more silk even if you have enough to heal. I think the benefit is that you can use your skills more often while still keeping nearly enough silk to heal. Skills seem to use 4 notches so I’m sure you’ll eventually have a large enough meter for a skill use and a heal when the meter is full.
The double hit bosses wouldn't be so bad is it wasn't so easy for them to 1-2 combo you and kill 4 masks in a split second
I’m only just past fourth chorus. ngl collecting 25 spine cores was so dumb and killed the momentum of the game
Holy shit. Cogwork Dancers is in contention for my favorite boss fight in any video game ever. That was so fucking cool
lol I just got there and decided that was enough for the night. At least my boy Christopher Larkin is cooking on that piano
