I was struggling yesterday but as I play the game on its terms rather than HK's, I've been getting much better. Seems obvious but patterns can be hard to break lol. I also mapped Up/Down to GL/GR on my Switch 2 Pro controller and it's been a game changer for the the diagonal strike/pogoing.
I hate the thought of double dipping, so I will likely just wait for the physical release, whenever that might be. But glad to hear that people seem to be really enjoying it!
Played last night to the Bell Beast, so about an hour? Got close to beating it, but not quite. I love the idea of remapping the diagonal strike to a button, because that's the thing that I haven't been able to consistently do and what gets me killed. I love love love the cheery, singing little bugs. Especially the one who thinks her singing keeps opening doors/obstacles.
How is this in docked mode? I found HK was so much harder in docked mode than handheld so I pretty much exclusively played handheld. Only done the same so far for this.
no issues so far. I used to prefer handheld for these types of games too but I replayed HK on my PS5 since I could access the DLCs for free and it made me more comfortable with “TV mode”. I do sometimes move very close to the TV when I need to lock in lmao.
Just played for 15 min but loving it already. Felt like a badass diagonally slashing an enemy and gaining a height advantage to grab a mossberry.
Finally got the power-up that lets you fire the needle through the rings and platform that way. Shows up way later than I had wanted lol. If you’re still in the first like 4-6 areas (just from social media it seems like that’s where a lot of people are at this point) then you still have a ways to go before getting it
Fourth Chorus was brutal but a lot of fun. Getting combo smacked into the lava and instantly going from 5 to 1 masks really sucks though
Just met the new map homie. Everything he says is cool. Bought a bunch of map stuff and am working my way back through Moss Grotto’s unlocked paths.
Played for a while last night and felt like I was killing it. Then tonight spent a full two hours just getting my ass wooped and sucking at the platforming in hunter’s march. Did eventually clear the battle room before deciding to leave and tackle the area later. I have the dash now so will hopefully fare better in HM tomorrow.
I was getting so frustrated with Hunter’s Marsh but I left and found the Crest of the Reaper and it literally feels like playing a different game. I’m enjoying the platforming so much more now
I tell you what though, with how mobile hornet is, the speedruns of this game are going to be a joy to watch
