Eh I’ll just keep exploring, and collecting.

So I cleared Howling Cliffs, and making my way back to Dirtmouth through Kings Pass. After I’m probably gonna go fight the mantis lords again because I was too low level before. Any other tips of where I should go now?

 

Hard to say without knowing where you’ve been exactly, have you gotten to City of Tears?

 

No where do I go kind sir?

 

Head down to Fungal, on the far right of the map almost exactly half way down there is a hallway you couldn’t navigate prior to getting wall jump. Tricky platforming down a long hallway will take you there!

I’m bored at work and know this game embarrassing well from similarly coaching my gf through it so if you get stuck just @ me

Trying to be spoiler conscious but there is an upgrade there I’d highly suggest grabbing before re-attempting Mantis Lords

The trips to and from the bank are worth it.

 

Used the bank a couple times my first play but doubt I ever will again, they make the shade pretty easy to kill generally by putting it before boss rooms and stuff, and once you’re OP and fight harder enemies you collect tons of it without even trying imo

 

I don’t think I used the bank until after I beat Hollow Knight. Was too sketched out by it, lol

 

what would EVER give you that feeling, Millibelle would NEVER misplace or run off with your money and i think it's ridiculous that you would even come up with that idea frankly

Fuck this soul sanctum mini boss he’s sooooo annoying! It’s ridiculous how many hits he needs to be taken out. I saw a high level/charm user on YouTube, and it took so long. Fuck this

 

Yeah might have just rage quit this game forever.

 

Soul Master is my next challenge I think. Gonna have to grind for some more charms before I take him on.

 

Yeah I went back to the beginning of the thread, and was helpful to see a lot of comments like “just grind for better gear or go somewhere else if you’re stuck”. Which is always helpful in Souls games too. So I’ll probably try to find more soul notches or health fragments.

 

Found a whole area of City of Tears I hadn’t explored yet, and got the stag station there. Went back to queens station to withdraw some geo. Bought that lantern.

I did a practice run this weekend trying to get my time under ten hours and came so close! Just got to the Black Egg at 10:10

I was so nervous about doing the Watcher Knights and ended up getting them on the second try, quick focus ftw

 

Shade cloak + sharp shadow is so OP against the watcher knights. Idk how I managed to beat them the first time
