Can’t say I was a huge fan of this one. Didn’t like any of the new kids and their acting was more Halloweentown Disney compared to the original cast. Also was really confused by the ending because Winnie’s face didn’t match the emotion in her voice so it all just felt really off. I think if/when they make a third, they should really focus on the not Sanderson Sisters part more to better balance their humor and menace. Or just go full prequel because those kids at the start were fantastic.
We finally watched this last night after never getting to it last Halloween season. This was good for what it was. I was never expecting it to be as good as the first, just to give me a decent story with this world and characters again with some funny moments/lines like the first movie, and that’s what we got. I have no idea if I’m right or not, but I think one thing I would like some of these reboots and sequels of older movies to do is to film on film instead of digital? I have no idea about these things but I feel like it would give it more of the same look of older movies, as the visuals of these things always looking so different from their OGs always throws me off. Maybe that wouldn’t fix that problem because what do I know. Agree that the child actors weren’t great. It was funny seeing Gary and Richard from Veep.
you refer to Sam Richardson as Richard from Veep?????????????!! (I’ll let Tony Hale slide because I always forget his name)
Currently building the Lego set of the cottage so I’ve had these films on in the background a few times the last few days and I always get distracted and start watching instead of building even though I’ve seen the first dozens of times by now and the sequel probably 10 times lol
