Ryan from Hiss Golden Messenger also has a new album coming out May 18th. He performs under the name The Dead Tongues. Id day RIYL Bob Dylan, Tallest Man on Earth, and HGM obviously. His last album was really solid too.

 

Phil Cook has a new album coming out June 1st called People Are My Drug. This band is so talented.

I already thought this song was incredible but man after reading this it makes me appreciate it even more. Phil seems like an amazing guy.

It’s amazing. I loved his last album and I think this is a step up from it. I love the gospel feel of some of these songs.

Finally got to see the full band with Phil Cook and they're so outrageously talented and fucking LOUD. Here is a really cool shot from that night.

Also saw him play solo in a treehouse in the woods at the actual fest. Definitely a highlight.

Scott Hirsch is releasing a solo album in November. That’s the third solo album this year from this band. These guys are so insanely talented.
