agreed. my only other complaints are ways they differ from the book on how/when they choose to reveal aspects of the story, but it’s pretty solid overall. i think i had a bit of unreasonable expectations going in haha
I read these books in 2006-2008 in middle school and I just started the show. Finishing up episode 2. So much is pouring back to me!
Really enjoyed the latest episode. Lot of cool sequences and things are definitely turning up! Dafne Keen has been great in this.
I was kind of off and on with my investment the whole season but the last episode hooked me, I'll watch the next season for sure I've never read the source material or seen the movie so the death really surprised me
This actually looks a lot better than last season. I think HBO had a bigger budget for this season and it shows.
The first series was fantastic. I've need to read the books - don't know why I haven't (although I enjoyed watching something without needing to compare it to the original source material).
haven't seen the show but Northern Lights is literally one of my favourite books of all time that thing is absolute magic
What I might do is read each book after each series. Hopefully the libraries will re-open soon where I am so I can get some books out!
They are so imaginative but also heart-breaking. I went straight from them in like a week or 2 and will probably do it before the next season again.
Im not sure if youre a e-book reader or not but I love using the Libby app. It just syncs with my local library and I can usually find any book I want. Download the Libby App: ebooks & audiobooks FREE from your library
