It's in my queue but I havent had a chance to listen to it yet.

 

Abstract Mindstate album is alright, the production is nice but the rapping is nothing special imo

Dave East/Harry Fraud album was actually really good though, maybe East's best project as a whole

 

Posted in the other thread we’re basically all in lol, but I didn’t realize this came out in May. This is like his fourth or fifth album in the last calendar year, dude is on fucking fire right now

 

It’s unfair but I get so turned off when artists release that many albums that fast lol

 

Nothing unfair about that imo, pumping out music like that can stifle creativity and/or quality in some cases. It also doesn’t really allow fans to really sit with an album for a significant period of time the way they should. It can be like back in school when a teacher would give you a mountain of homework as if you didn’t have 6 other classes to worry about lol

Dave East tape is okay. Beats carry it, was never huge on him but I like some of his lines

 

Until now he was one in a long line of very good NY rapper that can't make songs. I'll check out his album though.

 

I'm a third of a way through King Disease 2 and it's... ok. It's not bad. Hit-Boys beats are just so unremarkable. Not bad, just don't remember anything about them once they've finished.

 

I'be been listening to Life Is Good in the car. Instead of WtT2 Jay should make an album with Nas and No I.D.

 

This track with Lauryn Hill though? Oooooooooh weeeeeeeeee!

Apparently he died of COVID pretty soon after posting antivax stuff too which makes it even worse

 

Looks like Injury Reserve we’re finishing up an album when Groggs passed. It’s coming out next month.
