One positive off the back of DaBaby’s homophobic shit is that it’s exposing all the other dickheads. Now we know who to ignore.

I've said this before in here, but a lot of (relative) newcomers to Hip Hop culture or fandom or whatever seem to be unaware how socially conservative substantial parts of the Hip Hop community are with regards to a lot of issues. I'm never really surprised when something like this happens because I have seen it happen constantly since I immersed myself in this at age 13 and I still see it everywhere when I dive even a little bit below the surface (I have seen a lot of variations of "Lil Nas X is disrespecting Hip Hop culture" recently). However, the backlash DaBaby is facing is bigger than anything I have seen in a long time, so there is progress for sure. Lil Nas X's success despite the reality I have just described is a sign of that too of course.

Yeah it's good but what I mean is look at the old school acts on the Bronx one. The others have it too but not as wild (though Yo-Yo is a crazy one too).

Oh yeah, the legends on that Bronx lineup is ridiculous. Lucky New York bastards.

  18. Siifu record is cool. Some of it is a little harder than I expected/am used to from him, but I don’t mind him trying some stuff. Plenty of nice jazzy stuff to balance it out
