Even aside from all that, he’s so (for lack of a better term) inauthentic man, I can’t do it, I was way too old head for that even in 09

 

I love Griselda's music, but I'm watching Conflicted right now and it's VERY bad.

 

Did you like those kind of rapper-starring hood movies back in the day?

 

I don't know how well some them would hold up now, but yeah I was into the old Rocafella/No Limit movies back in the 90s or whatever. This one is like 130 minutes long though and just has scene after scene that doesn't do anything to move the plot along. I know it's low budget and not really made by "filmmakers" so props to them for getting it done, I think my expectations were just too high. There's a scene where two characters are having a conversation and immediately following that scene is another scene with two different characters having THE EXACT SAME conversation almost verbatum to the word.

It's just a bummer, bc over the last year I've really been getting into Griselda so I was pretty excited when Conflicted was announced, but it just didn't do it for me. It's probably worth the watch if you can see if for free and you're just sitting around getting high or whatever, but I was really hoping for more.

 

I once rented a movie on DVD because it “starred” Destiny’s Child (all of them lol) and oh man it was the worst movie I have ever seen. To be fair I only watched for 20 minutes or so, maybe it suddenly gets amazing after that lol

 

Farhot, a successful producer that was born in Afghanistan but grew up in Germany, released a new (mostly instrumental) album, built around samples from Afghani music and other media. I highly recommend it.
