I don’t think any rapper that tried ever pulled off releasing two good albums, double albums excluded

 

I don't think they're his best works by any means, but FUTURE and HNDRXX were both pretty solid for being released (essentially) at the same time.

 

maybe im crazy but over time ive come to think of those two as his best albums

 

to each his own, I think they're both good but I'm partial to some of the earlier tapes and prefer his rapping more to the R&B stuff

 

future, hndrxx and ds2 remain the only future projects i go back to.

 

but 56 Nights crazy

 

Monster is an all timer, easily my favourite thing he's ever done and on some days it's probably my favourite hip hop project ever. The mixtapes run + DS2 is still legendary. Purple Reign is extremely underrated. I don't really fuck with The Wzrd or Wrld on Drugs but I think everything else from Honest onward is at least solid.

 

For me he's a singles artist, I can't bring myself to care about a Future full length

When I first heard for example Illmatic it was less than 10 years old but felt really old to me, yet stuff like this somehow feels like yesterday to me, Cole's barely not a newcomer in my mind

 

Speakerboxx/The Love Below is a great double album, but that's obviouly a completly different situation and doesn't really fit the description
