Eminem is so tremendously bad that it's embarrassing to his early work. Jesus Christ.

 

I stumbled over that album recently while working on the hopeless task of organizing my iTunes library. It was good.

 

OK so I am seeing that Eminem is pushing for gun control safety on this album, along with a music video that urges gun reform and a dramatization of the Vegas shooting..... but also has the line about Ari? Does. Not. Compute.

 

It makes sense to me. He believes in the first thing but also think he’s still the guy that should have, uh, crass wordplay etc.

 

This dude almost tricked me into listening to his record by putting Black Thought and Q-Tip on the same track lol nice try Marshall!!!

 

Tip is really having a renaissance right now

 

I love that Em did an Alfred Hitchcock homage and thats about it.

 

Man I need more songs in this style

I used to loved The Grouch. Haven’t listened to him in forever

 

I was always more of a Living Legends fan than a Grouch solo fan but I for example really liked his 2018 album Unlock the Box

Obviously we just had a convo so I feel bad doing this but Milo had some shady allegations come out against him a year or so ago along with Kool AD. I don’t remember the specifics

 

As far as I understand, the allegation against him was basically that he was fucking around with other girls right up until he got married which is lame but not overall predatory or abusive I guess? esp in conjunction with what he posted about his marriage being like basically last minute/arranged
If there’s more then I deff didn’t know but it was kinda messy that he was brought up in the same breath against abuse allegations of kool ad and busdriver (I think the busdriver stuff was at the same time? But I could be wrong) because it was clearly a whole diff kinda thing. (Also fwiw I was fans of kool AND busdriver and no longer support either of them so yeah it’s not like I have a problem believing allegations and canceling as necessary)
