I still generally like Kendrick.

I also generally like SZA music.

I think my personal favorite off TDE is still Isaiah Rashad but of course he is a ghost.

 

I also don’t really like SZA. She makes the type of R&B I’ve never really been all that interested in and which has gotten a disproportionate amount of attention this decade. Though I do think she’s talented of course. As are the TDE rappers for what it’s worth.

I remember when tde hyped up a black hippy album and people still actually think it will come.

Isaiah Rashad is itttt, love both Clivia Demo and The Sun's Tirade. We need that new album.

 

For a long time, Q was the only TDE guy I liked until Rashad and SZA turned up. Never really bothered with Jay Rock or Ab Soul outside a couple of tracks. Took me ages to get into Kendrick but now he’s probably my favourite of the bunch.

 

I think I liked early Rock, Soul and Q but after their debuts I just went meh lmao.

Echoing the Zay appreciation, last album was great and the clips I’ve heard of new stuff all sounds amazing.

 

Speaking of Isaiah Rashad

 

It's not often I'm a "fan" of a record label itself but I definitely am of TDE, I'll listen to ANYTHING they put out. All four members of Black Hippy are among some of my favorite rappers (though I'll agree Q's album this year was disappointing and Ab-Soul never reached the heights of Control System again and probably never will), and of course Rashad is fantastic. I actually like SZA's early stuff more but CTRL was good too, and SiR has some pretty great if not special R&B. Reason has a ton of potential as a rapper too

They have an impeccable ear for quality imo

Drip Too Hard should win that last category but it’d be great if Thug won. Either way though I’d be happy.
