Man. It feels like yesterday and at the same time like forever ago. This was a big moment for me.

I had to throw on Monster this morning after seeing it made it to streaming (and it's 5 years since it dropped, holy shit). Been a while since I've heard it but it's still my favorite project he's done. Such ugly and wounded music, that switch up in "Throw Away" still gets me fucked up. This and Barter 6 basically defined my taste in hip-hop during the second half of the decade.

 

Codeine Crazy is really one of the greatest song ever written and was/is basically my gateway into trap / modern day hip hop

 

I can listen to codeine crazy and march madness on repeat

 

nowhere near as important, but apparently five years ago today my friend and i bumped into DMC at a newbury comics

 

has meek put out anything this year? been listening to championships again and remembering how good it was
