P.S. I'm aware a lot of stuff is missing that most of you would put on a list like that, but that's kind of the whole point of sharing. I also decided not to repeat artists, at least not as solo acts. Anyway, I hope some of you find some new stuff on here.

Personally, I'm kind of partial to K.R.I.T. Wuz Here and Return of 4Eva, but I realize he's only gotten better.

 

I could never do a list because I’m bad at music

 

I'm partial to Krit's 4eva N a Day tape, but he's mostly pretty consistent across his projects.

 

Oh my God This is the worst thing I have read since that one horrid LL piece, I think it was in New York magazine or something.

EDIT: The LL one is also Vulture. Wow.

 

I might do a list, but it will be heavily reliant on personal favorites rather than the objective best.

I'd rather see everyone's personal favorites anyways rather than everyone trying to agree on what the objective best albums are.

 

Right. I took a while to think about it properly because I wanted to put some albums/projects on the list that I loved and that some people might have not known or heard.

 

For sure. I just know there was some discussion recently about best of lists and whether they are/should be subjective/objective.

But it's WAY more fun to see people's personal favorites because when you find a list that's nearly identical to your own but has a few things on it you aren't familiar with, it's a nice discovery of something new.

 

All I know is my list is 100% Drake free, you're welcome

They have a pretty extensive list for every year.

 

Not sure I even listen to enough to have a solid top 50, but How I Got Over and Undun would both be in there. We Don't Even Live Here from P.O.S. Brother Ali's Mourning in America. I'd have to look through my itunes library lol.

 

I definitely thought about Mourning in America today while making the list. Undun is great but I stuck to one album per artist.

 

Saw Danny Brown last night. Highly recommend everyone checking him out while he’s touring

 

I REALLY wanted to see Danny tonight, but I'm already going to see Knocked Loose.

 

I would choose Danny over a lot of bands because the opportunity to see him would be more rare
