Happy 25th Birthday to Fat Beats.
Also, R.I.P. to Fat Beats Amsterdam.
Media outlets are really just running with this click bait interpretation for a headline. Although his manner of putting it can be read as “problematic”/an outdated way of thinking, the sentiment he is expressing is not homophobia but care for the backlash LNX will/could face from the public for coming out. He even states that he’s drawing it from his own experience of public persecution because of the ways he’s expressed himself in the past.
Eh he just meant because he is worried for Nas’ future career based on the way he himself has been picked apart over the years for wearing dresses and just how foreboding hip hop can be when it comes to gay artists.
Edit: what @username said
I'm not surprised that the fader ran with some sensationalism
thx for the clarification though I had no desire to listen to a no jumper podcast lmao
IMO him associating w/ that no jumper guy is more troubling. There’s some transcriptions of what he actually said in the Stereogum post if you (or anyone else) is interested: Lil Nas X "Shouldn’t Have Told The World" He's Gay, Says Young Thug
how has no jumper not been cancelled yet
where the album Isaiah Rashad
I’m so old
New Cool Kids EP on the way
Can't decide if I'm going to listen to this or not.
I’m gonna have to add Tank and the Bangas to the list.... this vid says enough
Are labels doing this? Do they really think this shit works?
So cool, she deserves as much attention as possible
I had a spam bot promote dj khaled to me in my messages
I didn’t even know someone would do that
Turntablism in modern hip hop is severely lacking these days. It's one of the 4 elements of hip hop FFS!
It's the same with beatboxing.
She is so incredible. Also looks like she's going to be on the Beyonce-exec produced Lion King soundtrack
Super late to the party on the new Gibbs/Lib album, but damn that album is great.
