I just fell into a minor YouTube wormhole that led me to Bust It Baby Pt. 2 and “If I wasn’t married to the streets, it’d be you” is maybe the best opening line

Also Infatuated by Memphis Bleek is a classic.

Featuring Boxie, one of the many talented 00s R&B singers that never got a real shot.

In all honesty though if I ever saw Andre in public I would probably lose consciousness before I managed to work up the nerve to approach him

Yeah, it was really good. Hadn’t listened to him properly before it, but after seeing him on Hip Hop Evolution, I checked him out and was pleasantly surprised.

Video out too. It's a Dilla beat, I think.

This is a sequel to I Used To Love H.E.R. by the way

Listening to the Busdriver album from last year. Been listening to a lot of jazz recently, so this is right up my street.

Man, I feel the exact opposite. I want him to get as much exposure as possible and finally have an album that sells well, something he clearly cares about too based on the upcoming album’s rollout thus far - The London, which features two of hip hop’s biggest names, and then an upcoming song with Post Malone. The feature on Ed Sheeran’s album is a great move. Now if the quality of the music suffers, that will be unfortunate, but with Thug I just don’t see that being the case.

Collaborating with Ed Sheeran pretty much ruins any credibility you have IMO. I’m not his biggest fan, but Thug is fairly innovative at what he does and making music with someone as beige and uninspiring and bland as Sheeran is an odd move. I mean, it’s not that odd as Sheerans label probably just threw a shit tonne of cash at him. But you know what I mean.

I hate Ed Sheeran but I think you’re exaggerating. He makes terrible pop songs but is otherwise pretty unoffensive I think. It takes a lot more to ruin credibility.
