    I can never get into injury reserve. The beat was incredible and interesting and sick, the aesthetic and video was fucking inventive and unique, and then that first verse was the most basic uninteresting verse imaginable. Second verse was a little better but still pretty bland and real short, and there was no synergy between them at all. They’re like taking all these interesting risks at every chance except for their actual lyrics.

    This Lil Ugly Mane verse on the new Your Old Droog is ridiculous

    Also Pivot Gang album is good, but if anything it just highlights that Saba is far and above the most talented artist in the group

    I’ve been really on a Chance The Rapper kick again and dang Acid Rap is so good and also Coloring Book has a bunch of hits. I think the only song I dislike is Mixtape.

    I’ve basically been all Chicago music with Chance, early Vic and Saba.

    He was sick but his verse is the only thing I remember and I forget the rest of the song

    Having good ideas and good execution really helps, but not knowing how to write cohesive, engaging, GOOD songs is a major recurring issue for bands that can’t break out, hip hop acts included. Amine definitely knows how to write a song, it’s such an underrated skill.
