For those that don’t know, this is The Roots’ Dilla tribute song of Game Theory, over one of Dilla’s best beats. It still gives me goosebumps after all these years.

He's teasing Bandana, the sequel to his album Pinata with Freddie Gibbs. Highly recommended if you haven't heard it

I'm digging 2009, granted I've always kinda fucked with Jet Life. Probably the best thing Wiz or Spitta has done in a while.

Would've loved a DZA, Roddy or Skydiver feature though.

I’m watching the M.I.A. documentary and it’s amazing. Also teaches you a lot about the spirit behind a lot of European Hip Hop.

“DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince, aka Jeff Townes and Will Smith, who had been nominated for the first-ever best rap performance Grammy for their hit crossover single “Parents Just Don’t Understand,” were not there to pick up their award. When it had been decided that the only rap award would be announced during the nontelevised portion of the show, hip-hop had its own decisions to make. “We chose to boycott,” Smith said at the time.”

DJ Jazzy Jeff, The Fresh Prince and a Grammy boycott that set the tone for three more decades of rap — and culture
