this is excellent but i fear many folks around here wont be able to get into slug christ the way i have. i predict many will write him off as a joke etc. but really he's pretty fucking stellar and tells really fucking dark stories that i can relate to

Slug Christ is great. He's constantly putting music out there at a high rate. He and Etheral are going to do an album together soon. Speaking of Etheral, he put out a solid tape out the day after Father dropped I'm a Piece of Shit.

Can someone give me some Hip-hop song recommendations? I feel like I enjoy a really specific type...more "chill" stuff I guess? Here are some examples of songs I've been playing nonstop:

    Logic-Fade Away
    Shirt-Phantom (Redux)
    Flume-Warm Thoughts
    J Cole-Can't Get enough
Rakim-When I be on tha Mic
    Action Bronson-Baby Blue
    Chiddy Bang-Ray Charles/Talking to Myself
Kendrick-Alright (pretty much every song by him)
    Earl Sweatshirt-Huey
Kanye-Ultralight Beam (pretty much everything by him)
    Chance The Rapper-Angels/Somewhere in Paradise
    Danny Brown-Grown Up

This is probably a hard thing to narrow down, especially since this list is a bit all over. But from this year you might enjoy Anderson .Paak.

Since you like chill stuff, check out Father's I'm a Piece of Shit. I listened to it today for the first time and it's really good.

Loved the Anderson Paak song @brandon_260

I think by "chiller" stuff, I meant music-wise. I love when hip hop incorporates brass/horn sections too.

@Sophos can you rec me any albums with similar production to Pusha T's DBD or Freddie Gibbs' SOAD? I love both these albums so much and I'm craving something similar to either.
