I've only watched The Voice, and only somewhat recently, so I guess I can't fully vouch for it all... but I do know if it has happened, it's been extremely rare

Most of the people on those shows are mediocre, with exceptions like Carly Rae of course

Back when I still watched there was the occasional true R&B crooner but they almost never fit the format well enough to make it all the way

There have been some solid contestants on the seasons of The Voice I have seen, but it's about more than just a great voice, there are SO many things that have to fall in place to actually "make it"

New Bones project is decent, worth checking for the sole fact that it might be the only album in existence with both Andy Hull and Project Pat on it

How weird is it that one of the new The Evolution of Hip Hop episodes does this whole tearjerker segment about Pimp C in the UGK part but doesn’t even mention that Fresh Kid Ice died in the 2 Lice Crew segment? They also never call the music Miami Bass in that segment, which is weird. That show is... odd.

I was JUST about to post that, haha.

Dlisted called it "the budget version of Cardi B and Nicki Minaj’s shoe-throwing fight" which makes me very happy

....This is the hottest of hot takes and this is not meant to reflect my broader thoughts on the validity and talent of either artist BUT.... although Cardi’s album has much higher highs, the Bhad Bhabie album is more consistently good.

And no I’m not comparing them because they are female, but because that tweet did so.

I feel like I'm living in an alternate universe than everybody who says that Bhad Bhabie is good. I don't get it. I feel so out of touch.

This is the first time I've seen Bhad Bhabie and Bruce Springsteen evoked in the same context.

I'm a white guy from a small, blue collar town so I may be biased towards one of them a bit more than the other.
