Wiz Khalifa’s Kush and OJ will be finally released on streaming this friday. One of the all-time greatest mixtapes of the 2000s, imo.

 

Kush & OJ is maybe the only thing from Wiz that I can still listen to.

I take back the lukewarm first reaction to the Gibbs/Curren$y album. It bangs. Esp Saturday Night Special.

 

Camp Flog Gnaw was cool. Lauryn Hill's disappointed only doing like 5 songs. Juice WRLD coming out for Taco and everyone only knowing the popular song was amazing. Tierra Whack set was super fun and Pusha T is legit the greatest feature artist ever.

also ASAP Rocky had the weirdest set list ever.

 

I can't believe, and obviously CAN believe, Lauryn Hill did such a short set

 

the whole area I was at was convinced she wasn't going to even show up. The fact she had her DJ play like 30 minutes and then extend all her songs and want her son to perform a song was like WHY.

I was secretly hoping she cancel for Vince Staples.

 

She showed up 30 minutes late and got pissed when they cut off her mic for trying to go over her time

 

Be happy she showed up, it’s like seeing a Unircorn

 

Is Kanye’s stage theft or a coincidence or is this just another example of white artists/people being ignorant and/or spiteful about the role of sampling in hip hop

 

Hmmmm could be cool

 

I feel like the style of people who would do well in that format are not going to make great music once they win a contract and get to make an album or whatever

 

Still more interesting than other talent shows, though that's not saying much.

I hadn't seen that. Seems like he doesn't quite get what his stance means. His quotes definitely sound like he was there to try and bring peace and stop violence, but yeah... certainly doesn't seem like the right way to do it huh.

Honestly, it's always annoyed me that a rapper wouldn't be on The Voice or American Idol, so it's pretty badass that they are making a show that allows it.
