I remember going into Fat Beats Amsterdam asking for Fat Joe’s 50 Cent diss on vinyl. Somehow they tricked me into leaving with a Termanology mixtape instead. It was a good day.

 

Speaking of Termanology, he has a new album out:

I don’t think MGK has made a lot of good songs but on his first album he did have a song with Lil Jon when that wasn’t the “cool” thing to do and I remember fucking with that lmao

 

MGK played my town once and every person who has a story about him says that he's a massive prick of the highest order. Just a real narcissistic douche.

 

Not a fan of MGK's music at all but that Eminem diss is actually pretty good IMO.

 

Yeah this is where I'm at, I've never liked any of his music besides Wild Boy (and I literally just saw him open for FOB two days ago lol) but it was way better than I expected

 

Is Pigeons and Planes done??? They posted that long ass 10 year retrospective that I didn't want to read and haven't updated since mid-August

 

That retrospective ends with one of them saying that they have reached a point where they want to shake things up, so I assume what we’re seeing here is a hiatus while they work on a relaunch. That’s what I got from it.

awesome, in a year in which ive only really connected with like 3 rap albums i have really high hopes for this one.

 

I think the E-40/Vince/G Perico song might be in my top 5 songs of the year

 

Briefly mentioned Witchdoctor last week but I wanted to share it again after revisiting this album. It's completely available as a playlist on youtube and it's just so damn good. I think those who miss Outkast will really appreciate this album. It's just incredible southern rap with gorgeous production

I can't get over how good Vince's verse is

 

The E-40 album is generally pretty solid. Certainly the best album by a rap elder statesman that has come out recently.
