I think the definitive thing has been written about Eminem until this actually happens

"At his best, he still retains the stunning technical brilliance that reminds you that there’s still a chance. All he really has to do is turn back to the DJ booth and tell Alchemist the words that he should’ve said a decade ago: let’s make an album."

No one would be talking about him much if he didn't say that about Tyler. He's homophobic for attention. So pathetic lol.

you know come to think of it it's been a while since he's actually used that directly toward someone who's actually not straight. from what i can recall anyway, i havent heard his last couple albums in full so i could be wrong

Not at all defending Eminem's use of the word, but it always bothers me that the same people who crucify Eminem for using that word also praise rappers like Chance and J Cole for being "socially conscious"....even though both of them have also used the same homophobic slurs.

And just to clarify I'm not referring to anyone on this forum, just a general vibe I get everywhere.

Eminem doesn't just use the F word, his lyrics in rap god specifically attack gay people and this new song attacks Tyler who has hinted at his sexuality on his last album.

Chance and J cole haven’t used it nearly as frequently as Eminem and I can’t even remember the last time either of them used it so....to act like that’s a fair comparison is ridiculous. Call me when chance and j cole are well into their 40s using it

And I specifically remember that I was heavily critical of J Cole when I heard him say it on a track I heard of his (I don’t regularly listen to him) back in 2013

lately the only thing chance has done which is just annoying is act like being christian is mocked and made fun of

i dont know if I sounded proper about this but he made some tweet about a meme

Not to mention you can be socially conscious in one area and ignorant in another. It’s not like chance and j coles commentary on race are completely invalid because they’ve used that word. Sorry but that’s a ridiculous framing

eh I mean people are definitely mocked and put down for their religion. But at the same time those people can be overtly preachy and condescending to non religious people all the same, a vibe I get from chance

In no way was I implying that their commentaries on race are instantly invalid because they use homophobic slurs. Just simply saying that Eminem isn't the only rapper that does it. Hearing that word come out of anyone's mouth in the 21st century leaves a bad taste in my mouth, no matter if they used it in a song once or a dozen times.

As someone who is still close with religious family and friends, Chance feels pretty low on the Evangelicalometer.

As for Eminem, I haven't listened to the new record. Is he still yelling into my ears?

After hearing the previous Eminem record before this, I have no interest in this one. If it gets good reviews then I might visit it but don't see that happening.

I think people that think Chance’s overt Christianity is unusual haven’t listened to enough rap music
