I’m not saying this to defend him but I think part of what’s behind that might be his affinity for battle rap and battle rap culture, in which a lot of participants believe that basically nothing is taboo and that everything should be seen within that specific context only. I think they are wrong about that, but that is what many believe.

Celebrating my 25th birthday this weekend and I’m making a playlist for it. Got me thinking how I'd love to see all your spotify "Strictly Bangers" playlists, if you have one. This one I've had for a few years now-- most of the songs are pretty recent but all great to party to.

I have this list where I list my favorite songs (one each) by different rappers I like or think have been relevant to my hip hop experience in some way or whatever. The problem is I usually can’t actually choose favorites, haha.

Also have an R&B version, which I listen to A LOT. A lot of songs on this one are less overplayed than the ones on my rap list.
