What happened to Earl Sweatshirt? Feels like he just disappeared

 

He has canceled his European tour two months ago because of depression. He also canceled US appearances, though not all of them.

As far as music goes, these days I actually prefer it when rappers go radio silent for a while. I can’t stand the seemingly never ending release cycles. It makes me want to not listen to many new releases because it always feels like I haven’t even had time to digest the artist’s last release.

It's pretty great, probably my favorite tape to come from someone that sounds like a direct descendant of Thugger. Can't emphasize how huge Blue Balenciagas is.

 

Yeah with time I can definitely see that happening, right now I would put Gunna’s Drip Season 3 slightly above it. And yeah Blue Balenciagas is probably my favorite song to drop this year. Such a bop.

 

I have a few more songs left to hear on Stay Dangerous and while I like it, I feel like it's a slight step down from MKL and Still Brazy.

It feels like he lost that signature sound throughout the album. Still Brazy, Bomptown Finest and Suu Woop are great tho.

 

I like the YG album more than I was expecting. A some tracks are meh but there's a lot that I like.

 

I can’t believe I’m saying this but Caddillac Tah actually released a song earlier this year. Despite the song title, not much has changed. Still raw.

I saw Lil Ugly Man live and then retired from rap. But for real I just dont have the time and dedication I use to to finding and listening to new artists. I've tried but it just feels like a grind.
