The only place I ever heard about Hoodie Allen is this website. The first time it was still AbsolutePunk.

I saw Rock Sound post about how good it was so I had to hear how bad it was, since Rock Sound is absolute trash these days

People make fun of that 14 year old white girl, but at least she isn't in her 20s making this shit

I'd bet money that there isn't even a 14 year old girl listening to his shit. Who is this for anyway? The white guys that work for the "satire magazine" in Dear White People?

I've never heard his music before, but Hoodie Allen is only second to Lil Dicky for worst rapper name.

That whole subgenre of frat rap is so strange

Those guys have a real short shelf life tho

Asher Roth was one of the few dudes that had some potential beyond the whole "frat rap" thing, but unfortunately he kinda got lost in the shuffle.

Mac Miller had a pretty successful move away from frat rap. I don't really listen to him though

i like the smokepurpp tape, the bass might be a little too blown out at times and it drags at the end but these beats rule

Asher Roth was different in that he is really an underground rapper that was force into that role. Everything he has done since (or even before) the abum with I Love College had nothing to do with frat rap. He's pretty good actually.

Mac Miller really mainly moved away from it because he grew up I guess. Also he really likes 90s boom bap so it was bound to happen someday. He has made some good music, his last album was pretty great I think.

I'm not a huge Asher fan or anything but it kinda sucks that he's known as a one hit wonder now, when "I Love College" could've possibly been the thing to break him out of the underground.

I'm also not a big fan but not because it's bad (except for his major album), it's just not really my thing. It sucks how it went for him I guess, but he is still at it. He releases music and tours I think. He gave this great interview about what happened to him but I can't remember which podcast it was. Probably Juan Ep.

I really liked this one project he did with Nottz. I have listened to this track A LOT. I haven't kept up with his output but I see his name pop up.

Haha. That's like the one "post-College" thing I listened to from him. It's not bad.
