As a huge Lupe fan, this hurts to see. Show is in less than two weeks and was already postponed once...

 

last time I saw him was a House of Blues show, like 10 years ago, and it was great but I don't see a world where he became more popular since then

 

I did figure that Lupe would have enough of a cult following to still do well touring so that's a bummer to see.

 

weekend before Christmas feels like a bad time to have a show to be honest

 

I saw him in 2016 at a packed HOB show in the middle of a whiteout blizzard. This show is actually at a much larger venue this time, which I’m confused about because it was originally supposed to be at HOB in October and got moved to this date at a venue nearly double the size.

 

Wait why is he playing such a huge venue there, pretty much every time he comes around here he plays like a 1500 cap room and sells it out

Yeah, the new Roc Marci & Alc album is great, as expected. Neither know how to make a bad song, I swear.

 

Good question. I'm almost certain the October show was supposed to be at House of Blues - it was postponed for whatever reason and TempleLive, which is a renovated venue that all of a sudden in the past two years here in Cleveland is trying to become a big get for artists and comedians. I've lived in Cleveland my entire life and just heard of it for the first time last year when I saw Jeselnik and Violent Femmes there (not on the same night, obviously). They booked Juvenile for this upcoming Saturday and apparently, that was cancelled. I think they're getting some decent acts, but awful at promoting.

 

Wiz drops full tapes like every few months and none are super memorable.

 

as much as people like to shit on Alphonse, the Pitchfork best rap albums list is dope. so much that completely flew under my radar.

absolutely loving the LaRussell/P-Lo album.

 

one of my coworkers is a hardcore west coast guy and he was stoked on this Kendrick album.

he then put me on LaRussell and I was pleasantly surprised.

 

Also really enjoying this one

 

I wish he would rap more. He’s so good, he always drops lyrical gems that give me a lot.

 

I FINALLY listened to the full Doechii album and it is actually amazing, I'm mad I waited this long

 

Loving this new Roc Marciano. Will be on repeat all day

 

Not sure if i'm expecting much from it, but checking out Snoop & Dre's Missionary

 

Nooooo not that Jordan Peterson clip on the Roc and Alc album hahahaha this was good shit but idk if I can keep going after than. Man. That's worse than Joe Rogan on Soul Sold Separately. Embarassing.

 

Haha yeah I wasn’t a fan of hearing Jordan Peterson’s stupid voice. I’m gonna have to skip that bit every time
