Is Kevin Gates the horniest rapper since Luke from 2 Live Crew? Listening to this dude's music is like listening to an audiobook of Penthouse forums.

Really haven’t enjoyed anything he’s put out since Passion, Pain, and Demon Slaying. Not counting Kids See Ghosts which is good but don’t listen to anymore bc of Kanye

 

So.... a greatest hits album and then a re-issue of his debut?

 

yes Steve yes but the debut finally coming to streaming is nice

 

He's also dropping an album in September that has an entire Netflix animated series to accompany it so huge year for him

I'm just fucking pissed and bummed I can't go to his tour

 

pretty wild that Nicki Minaj released three solo singles this year, first singles in a few years, and all three came and went with zero fanfare or interest. Granted, they all were pretty bad, but it's still crazy to see how far she's fallen from the her former levels

I know it’s not entirely hip hop but the Brent Faiyaz album came out today and I’m about halfway through and it’s just ok so far.

 

I listened to the Tyler and Drake songs and didn't feel the need to dive any deeper

 

The new Raury album is great, it's glad to hear him back on track. His folk stuff really wasn't for me, although I'm not a fan of that genre in general

 

Yeah, it's definitely enjoyable. Way better than the campfire folk of his last album, which wasn't the genre's fault as much as the songs were just.... bad.

 

Some new rhythm roulette episodes have dropped if people care.

 

Shinsight Trio record back on streaming, I have the mp3s but it’s nice to be able to listen to “Early Dayz Amazement” anytime I want

That Lupe interview is.... something. Lol. Honestly have never known much about him as a person so maybe he’s always kinda been this way, the dude seems incredibly pretentious
