I started working my way through J. Cole album during my drive home from therapy (which I think is kind of funny). I’m only like a little more than halfway through disc one (or as he calls it…*sigh*…disc 29), so I don’t have a lot of thoughts yet, but I will say that I do not acknowledge a universe in which SAFETY isn’t great Hip Hop.
J. Cole album is pretty solid. Two Six, SAFETY, The Fall-Off is Inevitable, What If & Quik Stop have been on repeat for me
Baby Keem album in a few weeks 01 No Security 02 Casino 03 Birds & The Bees 04 Good Flirts [ft. Kendrick Lamar and Momo Boyd] 05 House Money 06 I Am Not A Lyricist 07 Sex Appeal [ft. Too $hort] 08 Tubi [ft. Che Ecru] 09 Highway 95 Pt. 2 10 Circus Circus Freestyle 11 Dramatic Girl 12 No Blame
maybe that's not what the song will end up being but "no security" is a hilarious concept for a flex. no security over here either buddy!
those snippets for the album already have me even more excited for the Keem project. It’s also a perfect length and limited features. It’s what I like to see.
Baby Keem's debut was one of the biggest surprises of that year to me, I'm actively excited to hear his followup
Honestly never heard of Lord Jah-Monte Ogbon before this week but As of Now is really, really good so far.
Feels like a pitch for a crap animated show that never makes it past that stage. Was a short that someone made in college and their friends liked it and said they should pitch it to various studios, but is actually a bit shit, so goes nowhere. Or maybe i'm thinking about this too much. Or maybe it's one of those shows that they skip past on the Interdimensional Cable episodes of Rick and Morty. I need to get back to work...
I finally checked out Biggie’s ready to die and life after death. My unc coworker was talking about how good life after death was so I was pretty hyped but I felt like I enjoyed ready to die slightly more than I did LAD. machine gun funk, suicidal thoughts and who shot ya are just perfect.
man I didn’t even listen to Tupac until last year lol I was just fine with the singles and popular songs from the 90’s and then I finally went ok time to listen to this stuff actually
