I think once around 2012 hit Mac literally dropped nothing but good shit, at least in my opinion. I love every album he dropped from Macadelic on, and he dropped a LOT of projects
Divine Feminine is good (although not my favorite) and I feel inclined to agree that Circles, while I do enjoy and value it for what it is, still feels unfinished to me. I very much prefer Swimming
this is literally me most days which is why I have something like 500 minutes of listening to them just this album lol
I know I said it in the pitchfork thread that I’m slowly going through the 100 albums and general ranking them. im doing Tupac all eyez on me for the first time and im just looking at that run time and its soooo long ima have to split it up into sessions
first disc is pretty good it only lost me with that weird california love remix and those last few songs were just ok on to disc 2
just finished All Eyez On Me and I felt like the first disc was a lot stronger than the second half. The first half of disc 2 kinda was losing me but the end run got me back.
As if we needed more proof this guy has gone off the deep end of the deep end. And he gets a "lets focus on the music" 7.6 on Pitchfork for his new album too. Gross.
I just posted about how Living Legends put out a new album this year without me knowing it. Now I found out that Living Legends member Aesop The Black Wolf has died in August. R.I.P. Some non-LL music by him: Reality Comrades - Aesop feat Grouch and Bizarro - Secret Room Murs & Asop - 2 Reasons Too Fuckin Phresh - https://youtu.be/ugbSdmZ1AQ4?si=-2bY0yQ4nTgBXgnY Asop and Elusive - A Word https://youtu.be/mmRRy-cvQUI?si=hXyBWU53mEzaU5Vo
Remember how Dr. Dre released Compton, his first album in 16 years, and Craig Owens is on the album? Still so bizarre and crazy
