this thing is super bloated and uninteresting, a little over halfway through and about to switch to something else. all generic beats, lazy flows. crazy to compare this to his run from 2014-2019. nothing remotely on the same level as Harambe or Drippin

of all the new music I've listened to today, his album was by far the worst and most uninspired of them all

Listen to either of these instead of Young Thug…

lately I’ve been super into this album I don’t think it really hit the first few times I listened when it first came out, but recently it just hit greatly and I’ve listened to it like 3 times.

It’s not even in the same stratosphere as The Low End Theory or Midnight Marauders as they’re both perfect examples of hip hop classics. And maybe even People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm could be included too. It’s still a superb album, but it doesn’t come close to their original run.

it's definitely better than People's Instinctive Travels at the least, I probably like it about as much as Marauders but below Low End

I think it's their best album too tbh. At the very least it's in a 3-way tie with Low End and Marauders

Low End Theory is one of *the* rap albums (it was classic long before that term has been used inflationary and lost a lot of it’s meaning). We Got It From Here.. is a really great album (one of the best of the 2010s) but that’s all it is. That to me makes a difference.

Totally understand someone feeling their early stuff is their favorite. The other albums are iconic staples for the genre, but I still think technically/musically-speaking, We Got It From Here had them working at the height of their talents.

we got it is a bit too long to dethrone low end but if it was just the best 10 tracks or so itd be about on par for me

Honestly pumped to see a No Limit album on that list (even though it's not even Mac's best album).
