This feels... dumb. Kendrick is literally on both the Jay Rock tracks and the Khalid track, so he has official writing credits anyway. If the songs were collaborative, then yes you would expect the artists to work together on their verses and trade ideas... and even IF Kendrick wrote the whole song or verses... so what, he is literally credited as a writer hah.

As for the Keem tracks, I wouldn't be surprised either

I’m not surprised tho it is kind of a bummer. People think rappers are writing everything they say but it’s been a lot more complicated than that. This probably bad for Baby Keem and Jay Rock not really Kendrick.

i don’t even know if it’s bad for baby keem since it feels like everyone knows he’s Kendrick cousin and he helped him a bunch move up in the industry.

It's honestly stunning the way that Drake can consistently hit #1 no matter what. Regardless if the song feels like a huge hit (Nice For What) or generally gets a lukewarm response online (Laugh No Cry Later, What's Next)... he somehow is able to always sky rocket to the top of the charts immediately.

Like, I haven't heard anything about this song other than maybe a few stray posts in this thread, and after I heard it I personally had no draw to it... but still, somehow it goes straight to #1.

    It's just wild to me

Wow, I also didn't realize that every single Future album since 2015 has debuted at #1 on the charts. I honestly didn't realize he has kept his popularity in recent years

The stats on the new Future album are kinda crazy. It was his biggest solo first-week of his career

Wow, I wonder why, I truly don't understand. Anyone have insight that I wouldn't, as someone who doesn't really keep up with him? No hit lead single, pretty mediocre reviews from what I have seen... how is this somehow his biggest album ever now

his fan base is crazy loyal and also the way he has been able to use his “toxic” personality as a way to brand himself through memes and the new generation probably.

i think the drake part and tems part especially got popular on there

The kids didn’t seem to care haha. I pointed that out as my favorite and most didnt listen to any of it. They all do love Drake

He’s pretty consistent and has a formula that works for me. I consider DS2, EVOL, and HNDRXX some of my favorite hip hop albums and the rest are either good vibes or good driving music.

pitchfork sucks, but I did get a chuckle from a 2.9 rating to Jack Harlow: Jack Harlow: Come Home the Kids Miss You

2.9 is a dumbass score for most things, and they obviously just did it for shock value, but I still got a chuckle

I am on TikTok because of my job. It's a profoundly annoying app. They even found a way to make skateboarding videos annoying. I know, I know, old head and all.

"Harlow’s ability to rap well somehow acts as a hindrance to his ability to make good songs."

I guess that does firmly root him in hip hop tradition
