Actually Hip Hop has kinds had multiple second album classics after less important first albums

 

Been watching the Wu Tang documentary on showtime and digging into the classic solo albums this week.

Realized how much I’ve underrated Ghostface in the all-time GOAT conversation…Ironman’s a classic, Supreme Clientele is one of the best rap albums ever, Fishscale’s incredible, plus he’s got a handful more really good records….not to mention he’s basically one half of the Cuban Linx album.

 

All his albums are somewhere between good and classic, he’s definitely one of the greats

Yeah I read that earlier lol. I listened to half of the Harlow album and just thought the flow was pretty one-note. I prefer my Ed Sheeran bars from Zack Fox

i had hope but he never delivered for me personally

 

Jack Harlow is whatever. He has some okay songs but Steve why do you keep saying he’s coping black rappers? Who exactly is he copying?

 

Also talking about albums that sound like one long song that new fivio is all one song.

 

I can’t remember where I saw it on the internet and someone said it reminded them of what drake would make in the early 2010’s just a worse version and no lie I felt the same way.

I just wanted to say the songs I did like on the album are I’d do anything to make you smile, side piece, lil secret and like a blade of grass

 

They're on my list but that list is extremely long lol. Might bump them up though

Actually enjoyed the new Black Star on first listen. Could be though that I had no expectations bc I pretty much expected to never get another album from them.
