King Geedorah may be my favorite depending on the day. Also Born Like This is great. He doesnt really have a bad project.

 

Vaudeville Villain is my favourite DOOM work, shame how rarely it gets discussed

 

That one is also excellent!

 

Mm.. Food, Operation Doomsday, Madvillainy are the essentials imo, but I love King Geedorah as well

Special Herbs tapes all rule if you’re into instrumental stuff too, 3&4 are probably my favorites

KMD is worth checking out as well, the group DOOM started out in. Mr. Hood is a very fun rap record

Raedawn is one of my 10 favourite hip-hop tracks ever. the way he works that beat is absolutely staggering to hear

Threw on my Mm...Food record this morning and it's seriously a perfect album. The man put out multiple masterpieces and I think it's high time we put him in the running for top 5 GOAT.

 

Do people not already do that?

 

I believe he's in the conversation, as he should be.

Yeah totally. Pennyroyal on that record is a DOOM beat too. Felt like you heard a lot of his stuff in the wild around that time — I remember that dude Bishop Nehru using quite a few too

 

They did Nehuriviandoom together. DOOM raps on a couple of the tracks too.

 

Daaamn yeah I forgot all about Nehruviandoom. One of the greater letdowns for me haha, was all hyped for that and wound up finding it pretty mid on both ends. Maybe I’ll try that one again soon, it’s been a minute. Might just be a 1999 day now though since that got brought up

 

I always wonder if we’ll ever get a new Quasimoto album or not. Everything Madlib released with that moniker was v good.

 

Quasimoto is so weird and good
