EARTHGANG album is pretty damn good. I'll have to listen more to see if it's their best but I especially loved the first half

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

Earthgang album is growing on me. I just find Dot so much more interesting than Venus these days though, most of the time I'm just waiting for Dot to start rapping

Talib has kind of turned into a nutcase the last few years too so I don't take things he says very seriously anymore

Can you guys recommend stuff like 90s hip hop and early J. Cole? I'm not really a hip-hop fan but I'm trying to get into it. Most of the stuff I'm familiar with is trap and I don't like trap.

These are 8 of my top 10 from last year, probably all of those would more or less qualify

    1. Evidence - Unlearning Vol. 1
    2. Wiki - Half God
    3. Tanya Morgan - Don & Von
    5. Fashawn & Sir Veterano - All Hail The King
    6. Blu - The Color Blu(e)
    7. Gabe ‘Nandez - Ox
    8. Kota The Friend & Statik Selektah - To Kill A Sunrise
    9. Nas - King‘s Disease II

He's a weird case. On social media, he is unbearable, but whenever I hear him talk somewhere, he seems fine.

The Griselda guys (Conway the Machine, Westside Gunn, Benny the Butcher) definitely match the 90s vibe if you like the gritty Wu-Tang style. For early J. Cole, definitely listen to Kendrick first of all if you haven't already. Also try JID, Earthgang, Saba, or Joey Bada$$ (also matches the 90s vibe)

Well, Wu-Tang had sick ass drums

Ye, Future, and Kendrick would have been my dream headliners like 7 years ago.

Right, that was my immediate thought. Kind of unusual they are the choices now. Obviously they're all still super huge, but Ye has shit the bed, Future doesn't put out quality anymore, and Kendrick hasn't released a new track in years.

I know I'm in the minority, but I actually really liked High Off Life and wouldn't mind seeing Future (or Kendrick) presently, but obviously Ye is another story.

I'm so bad at keeping up with the constant Griselda releases, but this Conway album is incredible

Yeah I thought Conway's last album From King to a God was the best Griselda release and now I think GDMM is. He's easily become the best member for me over the last two years or so
