10 Day and Acid Rap are both great. His potential/hype was off the charts and unfortunately he never quite lived up to it. Not saying he hasn't been good to great at certain points after those two releases, but he certainly never came close to what a lot of us expected out of him in a consistent manner. He's still an artist that I would go out of my way to check out new stuff, but again, it always comes in way below expectations.

I’m a few tracks into Vado record and so far it’s giving me real Dipset and general high pitched soul sample era NY rap vibes. Really nice.

 

I don’t know Thai but this song is fire.

 

been revisiting a lot of Big K.R.I.T.'s catalog recently and he feels super under appreciated to me. I'd personally rank K.R.I.T. Wuz Here and Return of 4Eva as "modern classics"

EDIT: This is the new Questlove Supreme episode. It’s cool but the last 30 minutes or so are great.

 

when I first heard the melodic blue I was like decent album and now it’s become one of my favorite releases. It for sure took some time to grow on me.

 

missed the chance talk but even acid rap has some glaringly obvious weak spots. not really a chance fan outside of the standouts on that tape.

 

that nigo song with rocky is promising for the next rocky record

New 2 Chainz album out now. Last two didn't come close to touching Pretty Girls Like Trap Music so we'll see how this one goes I guess

 

That Chainz album is pretty bad, he’s been falling since Pretty Girls.

I’m checking out this new saba album and so far it’s good. That song with G Herbo is a standout for sure.

 

Saba posted this before listening to the album. I think I like this one more than his two previous works. It feels like musically this one sounds the best and his lyrics always stay top tier.

 

Yeah the Saba album is great, really wide variety of sounds and his lyricism and rapping is as good as ever. Gonna take more listens to see where it falls in his catalogue for me but he's quickly building one of the best discographies in this generation of rappers
