I read that earthgang wanted to do a mini tour where they premiere the album in a few cities and then drop it next week and it’s weird because they aren’t even performing it’s just a live playing of it lol.

That super popular song Chosen by Blxst was playing in my uber and had me cracking up. Never really focused on the lyrics before.

I love that every song with fivio foreign on it is automatically a NY drill beat, I’ve literally never heard him on any other type of beat lol. Anyway that song was fire but I didn’t get much further than that yet but what I heard was fun

Here to recommend that Will Smith book again. Really fucking good, especially for rap fans. I've just heard (I highly recommend the audiobook) behind Summertime and it's awesome.

Honestly he doesn’t have a bad project until The Big Day which isn’t even bad, it’s just okay

Yeah but not a single one of his guest verses since then has been good either

I don't think he has any good full projects, just good songs

I'm not even exaggerating when I saw that Acid Rap was a defining album for me. 10 Day is amazing too and Coloring Book has a lot of stuff I really love too but he's definitely gone way downhill since then. I think he knows that though, I have hope that he'll correct the course whenever he drops something new

That whole SAVEMONEY crew was a huge part of my late high school/early college years but none of them lived up to what they could have been, especially Vic who I really think is one of the most talented rappers of his era but just couldn't pull it together

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

Acid Rap will ofc always be great. really enjoy most of that Donnie Trumpet album too still

  18. Acid Rap was peak, and Coloring Book has some really great stuff, but I think the one-two punch of the MTV thing and The Big Day being mid kinda killed the vibe for me

Coloring Book still has songs that hold up. Summer Friends, Same Drugs, No Problem. Acid Rap has the higher highs (Paranoia being his best song) and is the one I'd return to if I had to choose.
