Cordae feels like he’s slowly turning to just a meh rapper

 

Actually didn't stick around long enough to reach that track and, if I had, I probably would've turned it off at that song once I saw the feature.

 

I’d say it’s worth a listen

 

I listened to the Wayne, HER and Freddie Gibbs tracks from the Cordae album and none of them quite grabbed me.

 

I listened to the pre-released tracks, and it’s clear that he is a capable rapper but doesn’t have much in the way of personality. It’s a shame, because I thought the debut was pretty good.

Super, Today, C Carter & Chronicles are highlights but other than that, everything else is just meh to OK.

 

Yes! His debut showed a lot of potential but nothing has wow'd me since.

 

me and a friend went skateboarding last night and he asked me to play some skating music and I played a tribe called quest and he was just like oh is this some beat boy music and I laughed at that.

i then explained everything about ATCQ.

 

I'll agree it didn't particularly stand out, but I enjoyed the Cordae record.

The Cordae album is just okay, but I thought his first one was pretty great. I definitely think he needs to find a more interesting angle, he's a technically really good rapper but a lot of his music just does not stand out. I definitely agree that I feel like I should like him more than I actually do

 

Love this album art too, really excited for the whole thing

That guy’s so all over the place. I enjoy his more melodic focused stuff but every time he steps into the rappity territory he kinda loses me

 

Its one of those songs where I think its good but also never go back to listen to it again

I can’t really speak to his last two releases but man that time where yung lean was coming up was a fun time. His beat selection was always incredible on those first two albums.
