New Rick Ross album is a Rick Ross album lol, if you like the others you'll like this one. Mercifully short this time though at only 42 minutes

 

Didn't even realize Roddy Rich dropped a new album last week. Listened it it yesterday. Thought it was just OK.

Working with Hit-Boy must really be revitalizing Nas, he's dropped three albums in 16 months now

 

Listening to the new Nas now and it's surprisingly good. Hit-Boy actually has some good beats in him after all! Might need to revisit Kings Disease 2 again as it did nothing for me first time round. Might have judged it too quickly.

 

It’s has filler (and is too long) but there are a lot of really good tracks on KD2

 

Listening again now and already skipped two tracks (40 Side and YKTV) and probably should have skipped EPMD2 because Eminem is... yeesh. But there are some great beats scattered between the filler and there is probably a strong 10 track album in here. It just suffers from the same thing every Nas album has done since Illmatic.

I actually got thought that Eminem verse was, uh, fine. I’m just not a fan but it’s nice to sometimes hear that he can rap without sounding hysterical still.

 

Don't get me wrong, it's good. It's very good. But it aint Illmatic.

But tbf, nothing is.

 

True. I said it before and I’ll keep saying it: Illmatic is the greatest album of all time. And Nas isn’t even in my top 5.

 

Hip Hop Is Dead was a great album. I adore this song especially.

 

Did I hear 40 Side slander?

 

The lazy beat that Nas sounds uncomfortable rapping over? You sure are!
