Toronto rapper coming up right now. Only has a few tracks out so far but they’re all very good. Reminds me more of someone like Pa Salieu or J Hus than anyone I’ve heard coming out of the city before.

They have some really cool shit, they're a cool evolution of the Three Six sound. They do have a LOT of music though and a lot of it sounds similar so it can be overwhelming but I would stick to the full on albums if you're trying to get into them

 

Everything that I’ve ever heard by them has just made me want to listen to Bones instead

 

What happened to that one guy that made like Memphis horrocore-ish rap and was kinda blowing up in the earlier 2010s? I don’t remember his name

YES! I’m sure he’s still around, but I feel like for a while there people were acting like he’s about to be horrorcore J. Cole or Kendrick.

Got the Evidence album on CD for the car. Probably the first CD I have bought since 2019. This is a strong endorsement in case you can’t tell.

 

SpaceGhostPurpp suffers from some clear mental health issues (I believe he tweeted that he was autistic at some point) and started tweeting really wild and offensive shit and burning all his bridges. It's almost another Azealia Banks situation where they were incredibly influential/ahead of their time but couldn't get out of their own way
