Tanya Morgan album is great

 

Bet I’ve played it ten times through in the last two days. I just keep going back, haha. So Good gets me going every time

 

I'm watching the Verzuz now. The Lox and especially Jada really killed it. Also Dipset really lost right away because they weren't rapping over instrumentals but rather rapping along (often barely, especially at first) to their own songs, which Jada kept gleefully pointing out. However, after a while you can tell that he got under Cam's skins, because Cam started stepping up. Still rapping along to his own vocals mostly, but at least with passion and without forgetting the words. The others have their moments too (well, not Freaky), but not like The Lox.

Overall, its takes about 20 minutes to get really good, but then it really gets fucking good, especially Jada. A lot of great moments man. That Welcome to New York City vs. New York sequence is something and indicative of the whole night.

 

Having to watch these terrible bootleg recordings really makes it feel like the early 00s too

Also by the way shoutout to that DJ that was spinning for the Lox. He killed it and it really demonstrated why a good DJ is still the ideal companion to most rappers on stage.

 

The new Benny the Butcher album is good, but pretty short. I need to revisit his other stuff. The Griselda members have so much material it can be overwhelming.

 

the fraud tape was better but can’t go wrong with Benny. his feature on the boldly James rips too.

 

Yeah I liked it a lot. Fly With Me is pretty great. I haven’t gone back to Plugs 2 in months, should throw that back on

 

Benny tape was good, not sure how much I’ll go back to it. Griselda releases always have a high floor in terms of quality. Worst thing you can say about it is that it makes for something good to throw on in the background
