Nah I didn’t think you were! Nothing wrong with most artists/groups that fall into that category, I just think it’s interesting who does/doesn’t and why

Haha, not mad at anyone — I’m very pro “let people like what they like”. It’s just that discussing hip hop artists/groups that regularly garner attention from mostly non-hip hop listeners and why is a relative but more interesting topic than the usual discourse that goes on whenever there’s a new Chorus contributor list

But if the thread wants neither then I’ll drop it and just say that yeah this Evidence record is absolute flames

the new Rejjie Snow album that's out tomorrow is immediately one of my favorite hip-hop albums this year, I urge everyone to check it out

 

I know it's nothing new at all, but posthumous projects have always, always rubbed me the wrong way and I rarely listen to any of them. The only exceptions being if the artist had been heavily working on the project before their passing.

 

@The Lucky Moose Did you suggest the recent Skyzoo album when it came out? Been listening to it today, digging it a lot.

Man, this album didn’t leave the CD player in my car for about a year, I’m surprised it didn’t melt

 

Man the IDK and Vince Staples albums are seriously bringing it today. The song with DOOM and Jay Electronica on the IDK record reminds me of early Kanye.

 

The Mogul podcast series on DJ Screw is soooo good. Only 2 episodes so far, so get on board.
