I might be missing something here, but his voice doesn't seem all that unusual to me. Only some parts are "squeaky".

Also, trying to get into Busta's old stuff. I never really cared for him much back in the 90s but recently started enjoying some of the hits.

Did you ever hear the one with twigs from last year? That’s what turned me onto his stuff in the first place.

 

Nah I somehow missed it all. EP was solid, last track was easily the best. This is great too

 

I absolutely get why so many people don’t vibe with it but I am the very interested in anyone who is willing to push the boundaries of tradition this far.

100%. I haven't heard something that new/unique in a while. I mean, he's a lesser Mr. Skrrt Skrrt but I still respect it!

I understand why some people like it. But I just can’t take it seriously.

 

Busta has had a few ups and downs in terms of quality and, from what I think was, a lack of effort after he was initially big. But he seems to really have found it again and remains a favorite of mine. Tracks like Everything Remains Raw, Woo Hah, Ill Vibe, So Hardcore, Put Your Hands.., Gimme Some More, Fire, Ready For War are all super underrated early days tracks for him.
