  2. I was always under the impression the Tribe record was a double album too, but now that this conversation is happening I’m not sure where that came from

Yeah so that’s a different thing then. “He’s The DJ, I’m The Rapper” was the first Rap double album because it came on two records, i.e. four sides.

It's two solo albums from two solo artists

But it's also an Outkast double album

Because it’s two solo albums marketed as one double album because they wanted to actually sell records or because they had to fulfill a contract or something. Hence ”faux double album”.

I had no idea she released an album via them. As a former Murder Inc. stan I'm stunned that anyone besides Ashanti, Ja and Lloyd ever managed to release an album. It must have been very close to the end of the label? Anyway my comment wasn't mean to come after her or them, I just always found it an odd combination. I can't even imagine how it happened.

EDIT: Holy shit, Christina Milian's first album was on Murder Inc. too. Anyway, it appears that Vanessa and Christina are the only ones that managed to put out albums, aside from the ones mentioned above (not counting compilations).

I've honestly never been interested in Wiz Khalifa. I don't even think he's bad, he's just the most "there" rapper I can think of. Like he's a pretty decent rapper and I don't mind when he's on features or I hear one of his songs but there is absolutely nothing remarkable about him to me at all
